The Philosophy of Our Child Care Center

Kids Zone Academy of Lillington, NC, understands how children learn and develop. We structure our learning center around Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP), using our knowledge to meet children where they stand in the developmental continuum. Each child we encounter learns at a different speed through different means, and our teachers acknowledge this and work to meet students at their level. Our philosophy centers on DAP and three foundational truths. 

Our Daily Routine

Our development center’s daily routine provides a balance of both teacher- and child-directed activities. Most children learn by manipulating objects, such as building blocks and toys. Our teachers engage in frequent playtime activities with the kids to ensure they learn this way, making classroom time fun and engaging yet educational at the same time.

Classroom Individuality

Kids Zone Academy recognizes that every student who comes into our development center is unique and develops at their own pace. We believe that childcare classrooms should be sensitive to these individualities, so we separate children into classes based on their current level of an educational response. In addition, each classroom takes part in a wealthy range of activities to further spur students’ growth.
